Where to look for work
These are places to look. Each link opens that organisation's own site. JobSeek does not fetch, store, or scrape their job lists. If our app builds a search link from your job title and city, it only opens that address in a new tab. You still search and apply on their site.
Read each advert on its own. The scam checklist applies on every site, including the well-known ones.
Government and labour
- Government jobs this week. The weekly public-service circular.
- DPSA public service vacancy circular. The same circular on the DPSA site, plus the Z83. How to apply is in the DPSA guide.
- ESSA, the Department of Employment and Labour's work-seeker system. Register there yourself. See Register on ESSA.
- Department of Employment and Labour. Department news, services, and the path into ESSA.
- SAQA. Look up a qualification or a foreign-qualification evaluation. This is not a job board.
- NYDA. The National Youth Development Agency. Read their current programmes on the site.
- YES. Youth Employment Service. Read who can apply before you register.
- SA Youth. A site for young people and opportunities. Register there yourself and read what they ask for. Do not type that password into JobSeek.
Job boards
These boards are named so you can open them. We do not have an account with them on your behalf, and we do not pull their ads into JobSeek.
Create the account on that site if they ask for one. Their terms apply. A recruiter who contacts you there is not endorsed by JobSeek. Use the scam checklist before you share documents.
A simple weekly habit
- Check Government jobs this week on the day the circular comes out.
- Run one search on one board for your target title and city.
- Log what you applied for. Stop when you hit the number you set in the 30-day plan.
More sites are not always better. Unanswered applications are hard to follow up.
